Badges will be available for pick up in front of the Mandalay Bay Ballroom on the second level of the South Convention Center from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm on Sunday. Please ensure you arrive early enough to pick up your badges before the General Session. Staff member must be present to pick up badge.

QR Code Scanner Sports, Inc. is going to ask attendees to provide feedback on two events at the Vegas show that re- quire the use of a QR code reader app. A QR code reader app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store on any mobile device. The QR code reader app will be used to access multiple surveys electronically to provide feedback on these events. Sporting Chance Award

The Sporting Chance Award was started in 1997 as a way for Sports, Inc. to give back to the communities that our members serve. Each year, Sports, Inc. awards $20,000 to an Outdoor Division member and $20,000 to a Team Division member. Since its inception, through our members, Sports, Inc. has donated well over $600,000. In 2014, to commemorate her vision and dedication to Sports, Inc., this award was renamed the Nancy H. Wilson Sporting Chance Award. 2016 Team Division Drawing Winner: Bush-Wells Sporting Goods Casper, WY Sports, Inc. Store #93

Christmas has come early for six Casper youth sports groups. The six — Casper Youth Baseball, Casper Midget Football, Casper Crush baseball, Casper Soccer Club, Casper Hockey and Casper Young Guns baseball — all received equipment they badly needed from local sporting goods retailer Bush-Wells.

“We got 10 hand dummies to use to teach proper tackling technique, and seven really nice shoulder pad racks on wheels to replace these ancient wooden stands we were using,” said Brad Menzel, “equipment monkey” for the Casper Midget Football League. While the number of participants in the fifth-and sixth-

grade league is up, Menzel said revenue is not. “We had to scholarship 35 or 40 kids this season, which is a lot,” he said. The annual registration fee is $100. Menzel estimates that the league, established in 1969, has between 380 and 390 players this season. It is the first chance Casper youth have to play organized tackle

to the community,” Nelson said. The store, in its 54th year, is the only independently owned full- line athletic team supplier in the state. Nelson said the majority of the store’s business is institutional statewide, supplying school athletic teams with everything from uniforms to equipment. Much of

Bush-Wells is a member of Sports Inc., which is the largest sporting goods buying group in the country. It’s made up of independent stores throughout the United States. “The whole idea of the buying group gives us a chance to be competitive with the big-box stores,” Nelson said. At its national tradeshow in June 2016, the membership numbers of all member stores went into a bingo ball tumbler on the stage. And of all of the members nationwide, Bush-Wells was drawn to receive the Sporting Chance grant. “Our number was pulled out and Terry and I looked at each other and said, ‘Nowwhat?’” retail manager Kirk Nelson recalled recently. Bush-Wells was founded in 1963 and is currently owned by Terry Nelson and Pearley Wells III, son of founder Pearley Wells. “Terry and I put our heads together and decided to use the grant to buy equipment that youth groups might need and not have the money for,” Kirk Nelson said. “We contacted groups, took their wish list and then budgeted it out,” he said. In all, more than $30,000 of equipment was issued between spring 2017 and this fall. “We were pleasantly surprised that we received it but felt an obligation, and we were honored to give back

In addition to the equipment that Midget Football received, Nelson said Casper Soccer received new goals and baseball groups received field equipment, tarps and L screens for batting practice. “It was a lot of work, figuring out their needs and then trying to meet those needs, but we were very

You will be billed directly by UPS; and you will pay UPS directly

Advantages of UPS through Sports, Inc.:  You earn a UPS Tiered Rebate (at least 15%) on all dollars paid to UPS. This includes all accessorial charges like fuel surcharges, residential delivery surcharges, out of area delivery surcharges, etc.  Small Package Insurance Policy: o As of 11/12/14, there is no need to insure UPS small package shipments if the replacement value per package is less than $500. UPS will cover the first $100 and Sports, Inc. will cover the next $400 if the package is lost or damaged. Your store must be on the Sports, Inc. UPS contract to qualify for this benefit. o IF you chose to insure:  Members on the Sports, Inc. UPS program are receiving a better discount when declaring a value to protect against loss or physical damage to package contents.  The declared value charge of $.85 per $100 has been reduced to $.62 per $100. This is before your Tiered Rebate from Sports, Inc.  PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT 1/25/16: The new 2.5% surcharge on 3rd Party Shipments has been waived for SI. When shipping 3rd Party you will see the 2.5% surcharge as a published charge with an incentive credit for the charged amount.  PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT 1/8/17 : UPS Dimensional Weight calculation waiver has been put in place for packages that are greater than 1,728 cubic inches. For Sports, Inc. Members UPS will continue using the 166 divisor to calculate dimensional weight rather than the recently implemented 139 divisor. The waiver will save Sports, Inc. Members over $1.5 million in 2017. Placing Orders with Suppliers

• Turn in PO directly to supplier or rep by order deadline - Order must include your store number and store name Suggestions • Place orders via suppliers’ B2B when available. • Recommended, but not required, that you use a Sports, Inc. purchase order - PO Books available from SI Show Office - Electronic PO available on SportsWeb • Keep a copy of the PO for your records - Sports, Inc. will not have copies of show orders • Place orders for SuperHot Show items on a separate PO

Failure to complete orders and both PO and SHS Logs by this deadline will result in forfeiture of SuperHot Show rebates, Show Attendance Rebate, and may result in being billed at standard non-booking terms. No exceptions.
