The Sporting Chance Award Johannsen Sporting Goods

The Sporting Chance Award was started in 1997 as a way for Sports, Inc. to give back to the communities that our members serve. Each year, Sports, Inc. awards $20,000 to an Outdoor Division member and $20,000 to a Team Division member. Since its inception, through our members, Sports, Inc. has donated well over $500,000. In 2014, to commemo- rate her vision and dedication to Sports, Inc., this award was re-named the Nancy H. Wilson Sporting Chance Award.

Founded in 1969, this family run Team Dealer is located in downtown Augusta, Georgia. Pat Johannsen works along his two sons, Pat, Jr and Steve and his daughter, Kim. They offer a full line of sporting goods to colleges, high schools, middle schools, leagues, rec centers as well as offers a nice line of retail products for those walk-in cus- tomers.
